Top pick | Netflix pt. 2

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hey guys! I thought I would do another post on what I have been watching on Netflix, I don't have enough money for a Primark haul every month so why not have a Netflix haul?! I love a bit of comedy or a really fascinating documentary. So, here are my top picks for this month...

I honestly thought I wouldn't like BoJack, but I think it is utterly brilliant. It's rare for a show to get better and better each time. You forget it's an animated series with the main character as a horse... making out with a human. Season 4 has been it's best yet, it's remarkable how the show can produce such fantastic storylines, from being asexual to suffering from depression. I love the running gags and easter eggs in each episode, the 'Will (Krill) and Grace' poster has to be my fav! It goes to show how hard they work on every little bit. Mr. Peanutbutter is my favourite by far.

I definitely think this is not for everyone, but if you love a bit of kink, this will be right up your street. At first, I was a little bit like 'okay, what the hell is this?!', but I did thoroughly enjoy it. The thing that shocked me the most is that the main guy is Amy Poehler's brother... I know right?! It's very different to most shows, and can honestly get it's not everyone's cup of tea. Give it a go though.

Wet Hot
  ten-year reunion
If you want something so weirdly confusing that makes no sense and has class A actors, this is one to watch. The ten-year reunion is the latest series, so if you haven't seen them all, they are all on Netflix, obvs.  I honestly don't even know how to explain what this is about as it's just like a mind f**k. Basically, it's about a group of teenagers working at a Summer Camp, one guy turns into a tin of soup, and the President is plotting to destroy the camp. So weird but it is hilarious. It has Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, and even Bradley Cooper.

This documentary is quite short, but it is insanely good. I really don't want to say what happens too much BUT all I will say is how lucky this guy is. If you love Making a Murderer, you will definitely love this.

I LOVE LOUIS THEROUX SO MUCH. Okay, I may be getting a bit OTT, but he is such a great guy. I love how British he is, and it's so funny how some people just don't get him. I recently saw one episode where he explored 'born-again Christians', one word to describe it... WTF?! Each documentary is so fascinating and can never get my head around how different some people are. There are so many diverse stories from Neo-Nazis to the West Boro Baptist church (the most f***ed up people in the world).

What have you been loving lately? You can check out my other top picks here.

5 reasons why autumn is the best season

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Guess what? IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS. I know, it's two months away but don't you just think the build-up is much more exciting?! Before we start annoying everyone by singing Xmas songs and putting our 'decs' up, let's talk about how amazing autumn really is. So, here are my five reasons why I love autumn.

Hot chocolate
Who loves hot chocolate? what is there not to love about a chocolate flavoured drink filled with whip cream and marshmallows. I hate tea and coffee, but I could drink hot chocolate every day if I could. I recently bought Freddo hot chocolate, and I think I even got a little high just from smelling that bad boy. With the autumn leaves right on our doorstep, what is better than sipping on hot chocolate, the candles burning and watching a film. Nothing? Thought so.

The weather & leaves falling
Don't get me wrong, summer is lovely, blah, blah, blah. I just don't feel body confident yet (diet starts next Monday FYI). I am just so over seeing skin, and I just want to wear my coat, scarf, and boots. The downside about autumn is that we can be too ready for it and it's still quite warm outside. But that won't stop us from online shopping and looking at what we can buy, right?

Food glorious food
I love a good homemade soup or a slow cooked casserole,  and in the summer it can give you a right S.U.L.A. I have so much love for food, and it's that time where we put those diets on hold till January (yes, I lied about diet starting next Monday, get over it), and eat whatever the hell you want..

Being lazy AF and watching TV
I'm a Celeb, Black Mirror, and the best festive movies... it all happens this time of the year. It's way too cold to go out partying. And when I say Netflix and chill I MEAN Netflix and chill. Stay inside and start planning what you're going to wear for your Christmas work party, and have a binge.

Of course, I've saved the best till last. As soon as October hits our doors, we have Halloween AND Christmas preps in our Supermarkets. I am not ashamed that I am planning my Christmas shopping, and when to put the tree up (sorry, not sorry!) I honestly feel the build-up is a lot more exciting than the actual day. We have so much to look forward, and you will see a lot of festiveness on my blog soon, so watch out.

Is Autumn your favorite time of the year?

My struggles: Mental health

I honestly hate talking about myself and my feelings, I am a very private person but having a blog has helped me in a lot of ways. Whenever I try to talk about my feelings there is something in me that just can't let it all out, I have always been a closed book but I feel like sharing how I feel can help myself or someone in some way.

I can imagine everyone has had struggles in their life, some more than others, and it's important to make sure that we are there for someone when they most need it. We all have different ways of coping with everything, and even the little things can be the hardest for someone. I have always known I have anxiety and it can be hard admitting it, and each day doesn't get easier. I can feel so happy some days and feel like everything is okay, but then the next day I can feel like I have taken 100 steps back, and feel at my worst. It's not going to go away as easy as it could be, you have to work hard for something, you have to keep pushing yourself and prove that you can set your mind to anything, and not let anyone put you down.

My school leaver's book makes me laugh a lot, so many people said how happy I was and always had a smile on my face, but I was far from it. It amazes me how a smile on your face can make people think that everything is okay. The last thing I wanted was people thinking I was upset, so the best thing was to put on a front and pretend to be happy. I have many struggles from being a hypochondriac to social anxiety, and sometimes I wish I was 'normal'.  I can have days where little symptoms can suddenly pop up where I think I am dying or I just can have days where I want to be alone, and do nothing. I didn't have a lot of friends, and I was ok with it, I didn't care. I was always asked to go out somewhere, but I just wanted to stay home, it was where I was most comfortable, and I didn't like doing anything out of my comfort zone.

"I've suffered a great catastrophes in my life. Most of them never happened." Mark Twain

I recently watched an episode of Bojack Horseman and the episode 'Piece of Sh*t' had caught my eye.  I was in awe and couldn't stop laughing at what I saw, it was me. You don't realise how you feel until you see it with your own eyes. If you have days where you are constantly putting yourself down, watch this clip

It is a lot easier to just say no and not do anything at all. I am 23 and have only been clubbing probably around 6 times in my life, I know it's not for me, but it has been brought down due to my anxiety. I am more of a stay-at-home, eat pizza and watch movies kind of gal anyway, it can be hard for me, but then I don't want to let people down. I have lost a lot of friends in the past for always letting them down, and I am trying my hardest not to do that anymore. I feel like I can do a lot more than I would ever do a few years ago, and I am a lot happier.

People have said, 'just be happy and get over it!' and trust me, I wish it was that easy. It's important to talk it through to someone that you know can help. I have found it hard to talk about it, but doing this post has helped a lot.

Don't worry if it takes a lot of tries and if you keep thinking, 'what is the point' then you will never get better. Someone is always going to be there for you and the only person that knows you is yourself. Be strong and don't worry if you have a shit day. We all have them.

As you all can gather, I am a HUGE fan of Friends, and last week, I went to FriendsFest in London baby!

It is finally autumn, and I adore this time of the year. Thankfully though, it didn't rain which made the day even better! We got to Clissold park along with my brother and his girlfriend, and I was soooo excited.

There was so much food to choose from, there was, of course, Central Perk, and out of everything, I think this was my favourite. I loved being Phoebe with the guitar... I so wanted to sing 'little black curly hair'. I wasn’t 100% well however the food did look delicious, especially the ‘My Sandwich’ bar where they sold the exact sandwich in which Ross described in the show. We got there a little early, as the apartment tour was in the afternoon, it meant that we could just sit in the sun on the deck chairs, having drinkies from the ‘Chick and Duck bar’.

"Someone ate the only good thing going on in my life!" - Ross Gellar

Apart from watching Friends, there was so much more to do. You could also recreate; the title scenes, the Vegas wedding, and the prom. It was a ball.

It was the moment I had been waiting for... the apartment tour. Before getting onto the actual set, there was a mini-museum of everything including the props, costumes (with Ross' actual leather pants), and Phoebe's guitar. Altogether there were around 20 of us each tour, and we only had ten minutes for each one.

I absolutely loved the apartment tour, though I did feel it was a little rushed as you only had ten minutes meaning you didn't have long to look around and get a great shot without people around. They did, however, let us all move out of the set to get a good shot of the full apartment.

I will always love Friends and to be a part of it in some way, meant so much to me. It was also a special date, as it was exactly 23 years ago since Friends had started. I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures and check out my Twitter as there will be a giveaway shortly.
