My Everyday Makeup Products

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I looove makeup. I try not putting it on all the time, but when you're having a bad day or just want to wear makeup, it can instantly make you feel so much better. I didn't wear makeup properly until I was 17, and now that I am 24, I am still learning new ways on how to do certain things. I would love to just put makeup on for fun, but then I remember that if I use it all up, I would have to buy more, and that's not fun for my bank balance.

It's so much fun doing makeup, and it doesn't feel that it's a chore at all. The only downside is taking my makeup off, it takes sooo much time and effort (yes, I know I sound lazy). My skin does feel a lot fresher when it is off, and nobody likes waking up to makeup anyway - EW!

Here is what I use:

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation Vanille

It has taken me awhile to find a good foundation and finally, this one works so well. This foundation stays on all day and doesn't give a patchy look. Perfect.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Fair 1

Back in the day, when I worked at Superdrug, I was regularly told that this was better than most concealers. I thought I would try this out... 5 years later, I am still obsessed. I am amazed how affordable yet effective this is. I have about 4 of these as these are always sold out, so it's always best to stock up a few.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara 01 Very Black

Again, I have struggled with finding a good mascara, my eyelashes just either don't do anything or look like a spider has started growing out of my eye. However, after seeing how perfect Zoella eyelashes are, I was amazed to see that she uses a high street brand. And it works amazingly. I am intrigued to try the new Benefit mascara though.

Brow zings eyebrow shaping Kit

I love this product. I have a scar on my eyebrow, and this is the only product that covers it up. You can see how I do my eyebrows here in another blog post.

Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

I sometimes use this, I bought this yonks ago, but this does help my makeup look a lot better and gives it a matte finishing look.

Collection Sheer Loose Powder 2

Collection is such a fantastic brand as it's incredibly affordable. It is £2.99 in Superdrug, and this just gives it an overall natural look.

Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you use any of these too?

Why we don't celebrate Valentines day

Harry and I have been together for 7 years now and have only celebrated Valentines once. I love him, but we don't feel the need to have one day where we need to give each other pointless gifts and write a soppy card. That's for the anniversary.

We're not the traditional couple too, as we're not that keen on getting married, some of you are probably gasping, but it's never been a dream of mine. My anxiety would be sky high with having everyone staring at me and also the thought of talking to people - who I wouldn't have a clue who they are, is a nightmare for me.

Back to Valentines, we never spoke about whether we'd do it or not, we both just stopped, I won't go on about it, but every day should be special. And let's not forget the most important day,  that today is Pancake day. My fav!!

Are you more of a romantic or a pancake lover??

Friends is offensive???

Friends is on Netflix. Can I get a hallelujah, FINALLY, the UK has one of the greatest TV shows ever made, yet I hear people are offended by it, say what?! I am confused. I am hurt. And I don't understand. Fair enough if you're not a fan, however, getting offended by a show that was created over 20 years ago is crazy.

Being offended seems to be the new craze. Social media has given us a way to express our opinions on anything, which could be why we're seeing more people being offended these days. Some of the tweets I have seen about Friends has made me think how different life situations are now. My sense of humour is different to most people my age. I am a huge fan of British sitcoms. I grew up watching Bottom and The Royle Family. I love dry humour. However, I do believe these type of shows wouldn't be as significant if it were made now, which is a shame as it shows how people are worried what backlash they would get, and it shouldn't be like that.

The things that struck me most was how it's apparently 'homophobic' and even worse... Ross is the worst character. HE IS THE BEST ONE!!! I mean, he has the best episodes from the leather jeans, to his insanely white teeth and that 'Mississippi' tan. People have commented on how he is towards Carol and Susan, can you blame him for being annoyed?! People have also said how sexist Joey is... it is a TV show. He isn't real. Unless you are like Erika...

Let's remind people who are offended that Friends was made over 20 years ago the lifestyle is different now. I grew up with this TV show however it is not relatable to the youths of today. Things were different, it was before social media took part, and it was about life problems and socialising with Friends.

Personally, I think if you don't like something then don't watch it, and if you think Friends is offensive, then good luck watching The Inbetweeners.

Let me know what you think of Friends? I'm interested in hearing.
